The Mighty Dwarf has a built in Lithium battery and a micro SD memory card. When it's plugs by its USB to any USB power source the Lithium battery is getting charged. If you will upload some mp3 song to the 2GB memory card, you will be able to use the Mighty Dwarf as a standalone independent MP3 player using the built in controls; Vol up/down, FF/REW, play/pause.
The power switch of this portable speaker has 3 settings, On/Off/TF. When the switch is in TF position the Dwarf will read your SD card and play your music. When you switch the device to ON the device that is connected to the Dwarf plays the music.
