Further you have a combination of electric and acoustic features, which are known as acoustic electric guitars, which are meant to give you the best of both the worlds.

Lot of music gets created on the computer nowadays and a midi instrument makes it easy to interact with computer and other digital instruments. So you get midi guitars as well, more for the experienced players who are more into music creation.
